New neighborhoods age in fast-forward
A subdivision still under construction is hard on the finished homes in it. Every framing crew and concrete truck drags red clay across the streets, and that iron-rich dirt grinds into pale new driveways where rain alone will never lift it. If your slab has orange tire paths worn into it, that's Mustang's signature stain, and it's treatable — with the right chemistry, not just water.
The fences age fastest of all. Builder-grade cedar around a bare new lot has no tree cover and no windbreak, so the sun works on it from day one. By year three it's grey; by year five owners assume it's finished. It usually isn't. A proper wash strips the dead surface fiber and gives you back a fence worth sealing.
And because so much of Mustang lives under HOA covenants, exterior upkeep here isn't optional cosmetics. An annual wash is the cheapest way to never hear from the architectural committee.

That's a common Mustang call. A driveway, siding and fence refresh once a year keeps most homes comfortably inside HOA expectations, and if a letter has already arrived, we can usually get the property back to standard in a single visit.
Why does red dirt stain concrete in Mustang so badly?
Central Oklahoma's red clay is loaded with iron oxide, and construction traffic in a growing subdivision keeps bringing it in. It bonds to pale new concrete and ordinary rinsing won't move it. We treat it as a stain, not just dirt, and lift it with the right cleaners plus surface cleaning.
Is my builder-grade cedar fence worth washing, or should I just replace it?
Wash it first. Most Mustang fences that look done are structurally fine — the grey is weathered surface fiber, and it washes off to reveal sound wood underneath. Washing then sealing costs a fraction of replacement and buys years.
We're selling our house near Wild Horse Park. How soon before listing should we book?
Two to three weeks before photos. That leaves room to schedule around weather and lets the exterior dry fully. In a market with this much newer inventory, a bright driveway and clean siding are what keep a slightly older Mustang home competitive.
