Driveway and concrete cleaning in the Oklahoma City metro
Concrete is the one surface on your property that genuinely wants high pressure. We clean driveways, sidewalks, patios and garage floors with a rotating surface cleaner, which is the difference between an even finish and a driveway striped with wand marks.
What we clean
If it's poured concrete, aggregate or pavers, it's this service. The usual list around an Oklahoma City home:
- Driveways & aprons
- Sidewalks & curbs
- Front porches & steps
- Patios & pool decks
- Garage floors
- Retaining walls
Oil, grease and rust need their own treatment before the pressure does anything useful. Those get quoted as add-ons, so you're not paying for them on a driveway that just has the usual grey-green film.
How we do it
The film that turns Oklahoma concrete grey-green isn't dirt sitting on the surface — it's algae and mildew living in it. So the wash starts with a pre-treatment that kills the growth, not just a blast that shears the top off and lets it come back in a month.
Then the surface cleaner does the actual cleaning: a spinning pair of nozzles inside a hood, held at a fixed height, cutting a wide even path. A bare wand is for edges, steps and detail work only. Wand-washing a whole driveway leaves arcs and stripes that stay visible after it dries, and they don't rinse out later.
We finish by rinsing the slab and everything downstream of it — lawn, beds and street — so nothing we lifted off the concrete is left sitting on your grass.
Same driveway, one pass apart
Drag the handle. The left side is what a few Oklahoma summers of algae and mildew look like; the right side is the same slab after pre-treatment and a single pass of the surface cleaner.
What it costs
Concrete cleaning is priced by the job, not the hour, and the price depends on square footage, how long it's been since the last wash, and what's on it. A driveway with four years of buildup and oil near the garage is a different job than one that gets washed annually. We give you a firm price after looking at the property, and that's the number you pay.
Driveway questions, answered straight
Will pressure washing remove oil stains from my driveway?
Pressure alone usually won't remove oil stains. Oil soaks into concrete, so it needs a degreaser applied first and given time to work before the wash. Fresh spots come out well; older stains lighten a lot but a shadow can remain in the concrete itself. We quote degreasing as an add-on so you only pay for it when the driveway needs it.
How long does cleaning a driveway take?
A typical two-car driveway takes one to two hours with a surface cleaner, including pre-treatment and rinse. Add a front walk, porch and curbs and most jobs are done inside half a day.
Do I need to move my cars?
Yes, anything parked on the concrete being cleaned needs to be off it before we start, ideally on the street. If a vehicle can't move, we clean around it and tell you exactly which patch didn't get done.
What are the rust-colored stains on my concrete?
Around Oklahoma City they're usually one of three things: red clay soil tracked and washed onto the slab, rust from metal furniture or irrigation water, or fertilizer staining. Each needs a different treatment, and none of them respond to pressure alone. We identify which one you have during the estimate.
Why use a surface cleaner instead of just a wand?
A surface cleaner is a spinning bar of nozzles inside a hood that cleans a wide, even path at a consistent height. A bare wand cleans in overlapping arcs, and those arcs stay visible as stripes after the concrete dries, sometimes for months. The surface cleaner is why a professional job looks even and a weekend rental job usually doesn't.
Should I seal my concrete after cleaning?
Sealing is optional, and cleaning is the required first step if you do it: sealer over dirt locks the dirt in. We don't push it as an upsell; if your concrete is older and drinking in water, we'll say so, and if it doesn't need it we'll say that instead.
